5100
Features HydroSpeed for improved accuracy and efficiency.
The 5100 series AutoDrill is based on the 5000 AutoDrill series unit. However, with the addition of a HydroSpeed feed control, it becomes a much more capable unit. This additional control is useful when a clean hole breakthrough is needed. It also helps improve hole roundness in thin sections, increases accuracy when precision depth control is needed, lowers the HP requirement for larger hole jobs or simply when two-speed operation is desired. It even increases tool life if used properly. Two-speed feed rate is standard with the HydroSpeed feed unit added. The HydroSpeed, when its rod contacts the customer’s stop, manages the critical work penetration and break-thru rate. The cylinder does not increase the overall width of the AutoDrill unit. Closely spaced holes are still possible. When the holes are too close, we offer our multiple spindle heads and most often our 5200 series units. Maintenance of the HydroSpeed is also simplified since it can be adjusted or replaced without disturbing the AutoDrill body. (space missing) A dual speed feed rate is standard. The HydroSpeed (sometimes called Hydra-Brake, Hydro-Speed or Hydro Speed) controls the critical work penetration feed rate and breakthrough process. Check out our YouTube channel for examples of a HydroSpeed in use.
The 5100 series AutoDrill is offered for heavy duty or large hole operations or when the most robust and reliable unit is necessary. The features on the 5100 series unit make it very simple to maintain and operate. Its adjustment methods are easy to understand, including the adjustable feed rate. It is very simple to use yet is extremely capable.
Because of its efficiency, your costs are kept low. Whether it helps you make more product in the same amount of time (cost savings) or simply helps you to keep up with high volume requests (higher production), the 5100 series self-feeder unit is an excellent choice.
